As my business has grown there are certain tools and programs that I truly cannot live without. They are the first thing I check in the morning because they keep my business so organized!
Utilizing programs within your business is a great way to help your business run more efficiently, keep everything organized, and make sure your processes are streamlined for your clients, team, and YOU! That’s what we’re all about here!
Here are some of my absolute favourite programs that I use each and every day:
My ride or die!! I practically live in this program - it’s open all day long. Dubsado is my client management system, meaning it keeps track of all my clients and the work we’ve got going on. I use it for invoicing, scheduling, contracts, forms/questionnaires, communication, workflows, proposals, and SO MUCH MORE!
This is a great tool to include in your business arsenal, especially when you’re first starting out - it’s super user friendly! I use Canva to create templates for my clients, for social media, and to customize designs.
I love the entire Adobe Suite!! I use Illustrator the most for my brand design projects. I use InDesign for my client presentations. And I use Photoshop to edit photos. You really can’t go wrong with any of them!
This is a great tool to keep track of action items. I use it to help not only myself but also for those on my team or any contractors that I work with. It’s a great way to visualize what needs to be done! We can all communicate directly within Asana, also, which helps us keep our ideas organized, as well.
This tool is essential if you’re utilizing Pinterest in your business at all. You can automatically schedule all of your pins and repins to post. Tailwind is partnered with Pinterest, so their optimized times for posting are truly the best. There are also a ton of other features, such as SmartLoop and Tailwind Communities that really help you make sure you’re getting the most out of your Pinterest account!
I use this app to schedule out all of my Instagram posts. It’s a great way to visualize your feed to make sure everything’s cohesive, too!
Much like Dubsado, I seriously couldn’t live without my Google Calendar. I schedule EVERYTHING in there. From meetings to personal appointments, from lunchtime and walking Abel to working on client projects. It all goes in there. Not only does this help keep me organized throughout my day, it also keeps me on track with my tasks. As business owners, it can get easy to lose track of what needs to get done each day, but putting everything into your Google Calendar helps block out your time to ensure that everything gets done.
This is such a great tool for sharing things with clients. I use it to share everything with my clients and keep all of their files organized.
Whew! I know that was a lot, but all of these platforms are crazy essential in my business. I truly cannot imagine running my business without them.
